All Redmi Note 12 Turbo specifications, design details, and price

Xiaomi's sub-brand, Redmi, announced the Redmi Note 12 series in China at the end of last year, and later launched it in global markets.  The series consists of three phones, and the fourth model, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, will soon join it.

The launch date of the new smartphone in China has been confirmed on March 28 with the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor.  Numerous rumors and leaks have already revealed quite a bit of information about the device.  In this article, we collected for you on our website Digital TV all the currently available details about the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

 Screen and design

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will arrive with some solid specs, but don't expect it to look very different from other phones in the same series.  However, there are some notable changes.  First, the company has ditched the large camera module found on the rest of the Redmi Note 12 series, opting for single lenses instead.

The leaks revealed the phone in white and silver, but it will also be presented in black.  The back of the phone features three camera holes consisting of a prominent 64-megapixel main camera.  In addition, the phone has dual speakers and a USB-C port.  Interestingly, the phone also comes with a headphone jack, a feature that is becoming increasingly rare in modern smartphones.

 Screen and design

Redmi Note 12 Turbo will come with thin bezels.  According to the company, the phone will have a bottom edge that is 2.2 mm thick, which is 0.2 mm thinner than the iPhone 14. The side edges will be 1.42 mm thick, while the top edge will be 1.95 mm thick.  Although the edges are not completely uniform, the side edges of the phone are thinner than those of the iPhone 14, and there is a small hole in the screen as well.

Also, the screen size is likely to be 6.67 inches.  Redmi confirmed that the OLED screen will support 68.7 billion colors, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and HDR10 + certification.  It is said to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 93.45%.

 Specifications

Redmi Note 12 Turbo will arrive as a mid-range smartphone but it competes with some flagship phones with its specifications.  Its main highlight will be the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which is not a high-end processor but has been revealed to offer similar performance to that of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Qualcomm says that the new processor will offer significant improvements in performance and power efficiency over the Snapdragon 7.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo specifications

The processor has its own main Kryo CPU core clocked at 2.91GHz, and the full 1+3+4 CPU architecture is said to offer over 50% boost.  The processor can be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device will feature a vapor chamber cooling system that will span an area of 3,725 mm².  The phone will work with the MIUI 14 interface, which is based on the Android 13 operating system.

As confirmed by the 3C certification, the smartphone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.  It is expected that the phone does not support wireless charging.

For photography, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will feature a triple camera module on the back, consisting of a 64MP primary camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS).  It will have an 8MP ultra wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.  It may feature a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calling.

 Expected price

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to debut as a true flagship phone, and it boasts impressive specifications.  Also, it is said that the phone will come at a competitive price.  There is no official confirmation yet, but rumors indicate that the price of the phone will range between 350 and 400 dollars.  It was also revealed that it will be arriving in the global market but with a different name, most likely to be the long-awaited Poco F5.
